Welcome!

Are you curious how routing works in the Internet, or in the telephone network, or in the telecommunication transport network? Or how routing inter-works between Internet and PSTN? Or how routers are designed for efficient routing? If so, this book is for you.

We wrote this book to present a comprehensive coverage of network routing, and how numerous pieces are connected to make routing work, such as accessing a web-site in one part of the world from a computer in another part of the world, or being able to reach a person by phone from one part of the world to another. The book is geared both as a self-study guide as well as a book for use in a course (rather, a number of courses; check out sample courses for details.)

NetworkRouting.net serves as the on-line resource site for our book Network Routing. Browse around; however, bear with us as we continue to populate this site with new information.
